“As above so below”
Without getting too scientific, it is said that everything in the universe consists of energy composed of the elements – earth, wind, fire & water, broken down into miniscule sub atomic energy particles in a state of constant interaction and change.  As such, you, me and everything from our thoughts and actions down to our physical bodies are energy composed of the 4 elements. This includes planets and zodiac stars which are huge energy masses.

So how do the planets and stars affect us? 
Simply because they too are energy, and because all energy is connected (so that each particle impacts on the other), you, me and the planets are all the same thing, so that they affect us and we them. 

Planets & stars have their own energy profile  - almost like a personality.  For example Mars is composed of heat/fire and its energy is assertive and fighting.  The Moon on the other hand is mainly composed of water and connected to the emotions, the home and shows our nurturing/motherly instincts.

At the time, date and place you were born, you/your energy came into physical being. What was actually happening was a physical manifestation of the energies in the galaxy as we know it, being the planets, stars and the energy of your parents – the result being you!  Imagine taking a photograph of the galaxy showing where all the planets & stars were at that precise moment that you were born – the photograph would be a blueprint of you.  As such your astrology chart is a blueprint for you whole journey throughout this life.  It is not set in stone however, because everybody has choice, though, armed with this information, you are in a much better position to make the most of your life, your talents, opportunities, deal with challenges and be the person you are really meant to be.

Astrology therefore, is simply an analysis of energies within you and how they interact with other energies namely planets, or other people.  As such, it can provide information on your personality, what makes you tick, love & sex life, what satisfies your emotional needs and makes you feel safe, the career best suited to your personality, challenges you will encounter, your fears, the relationship between you and your partner and you and your parents and what lessons you will learn from each other, spiritual evolution, karma and past lives! This analysis can be undertaken for any thing including your children and even your pets, as they too are energy.

How does Astrology forecast the future?

So far we have said that astrology is an analysis of energy within us as determined by the energy of each planet and star, the part of the sky in which they are placed and, the position they are in relation to each other.  As we know how long it takes each Planet to orbit, we know exactly where each planet and star will be at any given moment in time in the future.  This means we can predict energy interactions within us at any given moment in the future.  So we can use it to prepare for future opportunities and challenges, be it career, love life, relationship, spiritual path etc.
